Biography: Daniel Vettori, born on 27th January 1979 in Auckland, New Zealand, is one of the finest spin bowlers and all-rounders in the history of New Zealand cricket. Vettori made his ODI debut on 25th March 1997 and quickly became a vital player for the New Zealand team.

Throughout his illustrious career, Vettori played 113 Test matches, 295 ODIs, and 34 T20s. He was known for his superb left-arm spin bowling, resulting in 362 Test wickets, 305 ODI wickets, and 38 T20 wickets. He was also a handy left-handed batsman, scoring 6 Test centuries and 1 ODI century, along with 23 half-centuries in Tests and 15 in ODIs. However, he faced 25 ducks in Tests and 19 in ODIs.

Vettori’s ability to perform under pressure was evident, but he also experienced nervous nineties on two occasions in Tests and once in ODIs. His exceptional all-round performances led to him being named “Man of the Match” on numerous occasions in Test matches, ODIs, and T20s.
