Navjot Singh Sidhu, born on October 20, 1963, in Patiala, Punjab, India, is a former Indian cricketer and a popular cricket commentator. He made his Test debut on December 9, 1983, and became one of India’s most stylish and attacking opening batsmen of his time.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, fondly known as “Sidhu,” was known for his aggressive batting style and powerful strokeplay. He was a fearless player who loved to take on the bowlers from the very beginning of the innings. Sidhu’s footwork and timing were impeccable, making him a tough competitor for any bowling attack.

In his Test career, Sidhu played 51 matches and scored 9 centuries and 14 half-centuries. In ODIs, he represented India in 136 matches and scored 7 centuries and 38 half-centuries.

While Sidhu had a few instances of getting dismissed for a duck, he managed to score centuries in both Test and ODI formats. He didn’t face the nervous nineties often but had one instance in ODIs.
