Anil Kumble, India’s iconic leg-spinner, was born on October 17, 1970, in Bangalore, India, to Krishna Swamy. He is regarded as one of the finest bowlers to have played for India and a true match-winner. Kumble’s cricketing journey began in 1990 when he made his debut for the Indian cricket team.

Anil Kumble was known for his unerring accuracy, relentless work ethic, and ability to extract sharp turn and bounce from the pitch. He was a genuine match-winner in both Test and ODI formats. Kumble’s most memorable performance came during the 1999 Test series against Pakistan when he took all 10 wickets in a single innings, becoming only the second bowler in Test history to achieve this feat.
