Biography: Hashim Amla, born on 31st March 1983 in Durban, South Africa, is a graceful and elegant batsman, known for his solid technique and prolific run-scoring ability. He was a prominent figure in the South African cricket team during his illustrious career.

Amla made his Test debut on 28th November 2004 and quickly established himself as one of the premier batsmen in the world. He retired from Test cricket on 8th August 2019, followed by ODI and T20 retirements on the same day, 26th August 2019.

Throughout his career, Amla played 124 Test matches, 181 ODIs, and 44 T20s, amassing a remarkable number of centuries and half-centuries. He scored 28 Test centuries and 27 ODI centuries, along with 41 Test half-centuries and 39 ODI half-centuries. He experienced 11 ducks in Tests and 7 in ODIs.
